Culinary in San Diego

Wage: $10-$11 per hour


• English Proficiency

• At least 1 year of formal training at a Culinary Institute

• Culinary Degree preferred

Duties: Candidates must possess the ability to physically handle knives,pots, or other kitchen items as well as grasp, lift, and carry some shelves and otherwise transport up to 50 pounds to every area of the kitchen. Candidates must also demonstrate an ability to use and handle various kitchen machinery, maintenance of a safe work environment and proper food and supply storage, and ensure that guests of the hotel always enjoy exceptional dining.

The US Grant

The US Grant is a luxury hotel that has become a hot spot in historic and lively downtown San Diego. The hotel is known for its sophistication, style, and contemporary California cuisine. The hotel hosts 270 guest rooms, including 47 suites, the famous Grant Restaurant, and two lobby lounges where guests can enjoy aperitifs in a lush atmosphere. An internship at the US Grant would provide sophisticated culinary training in an iconic hotel, not to mention the ideal location. San Diego is known for its perfect weather and close proximity to the beach.
